Before you can use the ‘Prepare Data’ options, you need to add your school’s unique Add-In code, which enables the Add-In to link to your Student Data Profile in Analytics (depending on your network settings), if you have access to an Internet connection.
Below we have explained how to do this step by step, or you can watch our video tutorial:
To do this, click SISRA > Manage Profiles > ‘Add Profile’.
If you're unable to see the 'SISRA' tab in Excel, we recommend taking a look at the following article for troubleshooting tips - Troubleshooting the Excel Add-In (Admin).
You can find your Add-In code on any of the import or upload pages. For example, on the Student Import page in DATA > Keystage and Cohort > STUDENTS > Import. Here you should the find your school's unique 9 digit code:
Copy the code, and then back in Excel, paste or type your code and click ‘Next’.
Double check your school name appears and click ‘Finish’.
Your school will now be shown as the ‘Default Profile’. |
Note: If you receive a connection error when adding your school profile similar to: “The Excel Add In could not connect to Sisra Analytics, please contact your system administrator to ensure you can connect to the internet. If this error continues please switch to Offline mode.” It may be that you’re not connected to the Internet, or network settings are restricting access. We recommend asking your local IT department to read through the following article - Troubleshooting the Excel Add-In (Admin). |
You can also add additional school profiles and change which profile is 'Set as default', which is useful if you’re the Data Manager for multiple schools across a MAT and want to prepare different data for another school. As well as the option to delete a selected profile if no longer required.
When you click ‘Close’, you will then have access to the ‘Prepare’ options. For more information on preparing your data, please see the following articles:
