In this article we have covered the main file health check issues that can be identified when importing baseline files into KS5, and how to check and resolve these. When issues are identified, you can click ‘Show/Hide Errors’ (A1) to see the students affected.
“X Student(s) that do not have any student data or the Student IDs are not recognised”
This is caused when one or more students in your file do not currently exist in your student data for the cohort and therefore are not recognised.
If the student should be included, click ‘Cancel the import’, then either import a new student data file including this student, or add the student and their classes manually into Analytics. For more information on managing student data, FAQ: What do I do when a new student joins the school? (Admin). Once you have added the student, you can then reimport your core baseline file.
If the student should not be included, click ‘Cancel the import’, amend your Excel file, and reimport this.
“X Student(s) that have incomplete student data”
This warning is shown when you have baselines within your file, but the student's ID or Name is missing. To resolve this, click ‘Cancel the import’, amend this for the affected student in your file, and reimport this.
“X Student(s) have conflicting points for a baseline”
This issue can arise when a student has more than one baseline for the same subject in your file. For example, if Joe Bloggs is listed twice in your file with different values for KS4 APS All. We recommend checking which baseline is correct for the student in your Excel file and removing the duplicate row. Click ‘Cancel the import’ and then reimport your corrected file.
