Depending on your school’s setup, you may also have access to Qualifications Trend reports!
The Qualification Trends report provides interactive year-on-year comparison of your Exams from the last 5 years (either including, or excluding COVID years), at a click of a button. This includes grade and grade range percentage trends, Subject Progress Index (SPI) and average points, helping to inform your analysis!
To access the Qualification Trends Report, click REPORTS > KS3/4 and then ‘View Trend Reports’.
If the trends report is not available, we recommend contacting your Sisra Admin directly. Admins – If this report is not shown or analysis is incomplete for a qualification, please see KS3/4 Reports Troubleshooting - Qualifications Trends (Admins) |
In the report you must select a qualification from the dropdown as shown below. Once you select this you will be able to view and even hover over key elements of the chart for extra information
You can also include / exclude the year groups affected by COVID (i.e. 19/20 and 20/21) from the analysis using the 'Covid Years' toggle. A video tutorial demonstrating this is available at the bottom of this article.
Towards the bottom of the report, you can also find a table of the results - which can be exported to Excel by clicking 'Export Table Data'.
In brief, the following charts / analysis is provided:
-
Percentage at Grade* – The percentage of students with each grade in that qualification, across each dataset included.
- Cumulative Percentage at Grade* – The percentage of students with grades within each grade range (e.g. 9-8, 9-7, etc.), across each dataset included.
*Note: The grades displayed will be in the format of 9 to 1, U, and X grades. This is mapped using equivalent Attainment 8 points. For example, a D* in a Non-GCSE worth 8.5 points would be counted as an equivalent to an ‘8’.
- Subject Progress Index – The SPI score for the qualification, across each dataset included. SPI for a qualification is the average of students’ SPI scores within that qualification (grade points minus collaborative average from the Sisra Data Collaboration). For more information on how SPI is calculated, click here.
Please note: SPI will only be included for cohorts where the Data Collaboration event has been opted into, set up and published with for that dataset.
- Average Points – The average points for that qualification across each dataset included. This is calculated by taking the total points for the qualification divided by the total entries.
Currently, the Trends report is available for qualification analysis (not headline measures) and there is presently no facility to apply filtering. However, if further filtering is required, you can click ‘Export Table Data’, to export the table at the bottom of the report as an Excel file, and manipulate further. |
