What is the Excel Add-In for?
The Excel Add-In can be downloaded and installed to help you prepare your student and grades data files correctly before importing/uploading them into Analytics.
This is an optional extra and alternatively you can prepare your files manually, you would just need to ensure your data is in the correct format as shown in the file upload examples in Sisra Analytics, and saved as CSV (MS DOS) format (Not CSV Comma Delimited or Macintosh).
If using the Add-In, each school is assigned a unique Add-In code which you can use to create your school’s profile in the Excel Add-In, meaning that any changes made to your Student Data Profile within Analytics will automatically be reflected (if you have an Internet connection / dependent on security settings at school).
Compatibility
At the time of writing, the Sisra Analytics Excel Add-In is compatible with:
- Windows only, full versions 8, 8.1, 10 and 11
- Office only, full versions of Office 2013, 2016, 2019, 2021 and 365.
However, this can also depend on the complexity and set up of your network settings and your individual user permissions at school.
How to download and install the Excel Add-In
To download and install the Excel Add-In, click the attachment at the bottom of this article. The latest version is 3.0.91.0.

You can then run through the installation wizard to fully install. Depending on your schools network settings, you may need admin rights to install the Add-In and as such, we recommend contacting your local IT department at school for help with this.
