This article explains what publishing is in Sisra Analytics.
What does publishing the reports mean?
Once you have finished setting up a cohort in Analytics, you will need to complete the publishing process to populate the reports.
Within DATA, each area (STUDENTS, KS2/EAP or KS4/EAP, and GRADES) has a separate publish section, which means when changes have been made in that area, you need to republish it to update the reports.
If you are publishing the reports for a cohort for the first time, you will need to publish the STUDENTS, KS2/EAP (KS4/EAP in KS5 cohorts), and GRADES areas in that order to populate the reports.
Once the reports have been published, each time you make changes to data in a specific area, you should only have to publish that data in order for the changes to be reflected.
Please note: Some changes will require the republish of multiple tabs. For example, if a change has been made that will affect headline calculations (such as changing a student’s KS2 data), you will need to republish the KS2/EAP area, then the GRADES area. |
How do I know I need to republish the reports?
If changes have been made within an area that require a republish, a red ‘republish’ icon will be displayed on the tab. Not all changes prompt this icon, so to ensure the reports are fully up to date, we would recommend republishing the STUDENTS, KS2/EAP or KS4/EAP area (depending on the cohort), and then the GRADES area in that order.
As some key figures in the reports are based on KS2 or KS4 baselines and grades data (such as Progress 8 in KS4 or Value Added in KS5), when you click GRADES > Publish Grades, an amber ‘republish’ icon (shown below) will be displayed next to data sets that have not been republished since the last time the KS2 / EAP area or KS4 / EAP area was published. This is a handy way to identify if your grades also need republished to reflect your changes.
