This article aims to explain how to set up your EAP Baselines, once they have been uploaded.
Setting up EAP Baselines
Once you have uploaded baselines to use within your EAPs, you would need to set them up before you can create your EAPs.
To do this, click DATA (A1) > KS3/4 & cohort (A2) > KS2 / EAP (A3) > Baselines (A4) > ‘Edit’ (A5).
Then, complete the appropriate columns, explained below:
Grade Type: Select the grade type based on the type of grades uploaded for that EAP baseline. The options available are:
- Scaled Scores (whole numbers, ranging from 59-120)
- Number Range (whole numbers, ranging from 0-300)
- KS3/4 Method (Grade Methods created in CONFIG.)
- NC Whole / Sub Levels (3, 4, 5 or 3a, 3b, 3c, etc.)
- NC Fine Levels (2dp)
- NC Fine Levels (5dp)
Grades Method: This column will only activate if “KS3/4 Method” has been selected in the Grade Type column. Select the appropriate grade method, taken from those created in CONFIG. > Grade Methods > KS3/4 Methods.
Core: Here you must only nominate the KS2 subjects that the DfE consider “core” KS2 subjects for that cohort. In most cases, this will be English Reading and Maths KS2 Scaled Scores. This is covered specifically in our KS3/4: KS2 Core Baselines article linked here and would not affect alternative EAP baselines.
For 24/25 and 25/26 leavers cohorts, KS2 Scaled Scores are not officially available, and so you can leave the 'Core' column blank if you have not uploaded these. |
Once you have completed this for all subjects, click ‘Save’ at the bottom. If there are any warning icons flagged, see our article here: KS2 Baseline Management: Missing Student Data, Grade Not In Method, Core Nomination Incorrect, Incorrect Grade Type (Admin).
Once your baselines are all set up, you are then ready to create EAPs using these baselines. Please see our guide here for more information. |
