Yes! There may be instances where students have the same baseline but wouldn't necessarily follow the same flightpath. For example, a student from a Spanish speaking family may be expected to perform at a higher level than a non-Spanish speaking student, in which case EAP exceptions can be setup.
Note - We only recommend using this feature if you have a small number of students requiring exceptions. If you find you need to create these for all students in the cohort, it may be best setting up your EAPs in a different way, and we would recommend popping onto Live Chat by clicking 'Support' within Analytics.
Please note - Exceptions can only be set up for students with an EAP baseline uploaded. |
Creating EAP Exceptions
The process for creating EAP exceptions is similar for both KS3/4 and KS5, however, we have used KS3/4 as an example in the screenshots below.
To create an EAP Exception in KS5, click DATA > select KS5 and cohort > KS4 / EAP > EAP / Baselines > EAP Exceptions.
To create an EAP Exception in KS3/4, click KS2 / EAP (A1) > EAP (A2) > EAP Exceptions (A3) > click the exceptions count for the relevant EAP.
On the EAP Exceptions Detail page for your chosen EAP, click ‘Add Exception’ (A4), select the student from the dropdown, and click ‘Continue’ (E5).
Enter any expected grades different to those shown in the ‘Default’ row, and click ‘Create’ (A6).
You can then repeat this process if you need to add any additional EAP exceptions. Once you have finished, we recommend republishing both the KS2/EAP or KS4/EAP and GRADES areas to update your reports.
