Editing Core Baselines
If you need to add, edit, or remove a small number of core baselines you can do this manually in Analytics.
To do this, head to DATA > KS5 and cohort > KS4/EAP > Core Baselines and click the blue pencil icon next to the appropriate student. This can also be used to set a student’s KS4 Maths prior attainment as a L3 qualification, if applicable.
If there are a large number of changes to make, we would recommend exporting the existing baselines by clicking ‘Export Core Baselines’, then selecting ‘Export in 4 column import format’.

Historical values will be overwritten if there is a new value in the file, but any blank values will not overwrite previous ones. |
You can then make your changes within Excel, and import the file back into Analytics from the ‘Import Core Baselines’ section.

Q: What is the ‘L3 Maths’ column used for? A: This can be used to indicate when a student's Prior Maths at Key Stage 4 was achieved in a Level 3 qualification - this will result in the student being excluded from the DfE’s 'Attainment of an approved Level 3 Maths qualification' measure, unless the student achieves another L3 Maths qualification at Key Stage 5. |
