Below we have provided step by step instructions on how to access your KS5 headlines.
Key KS5 Headline Figures
To access the reports you would need to click on REPORTS > KS5 > select a cohort > select a DATA SET > click Headlines.
All main Headlines measures are available on the Headlines report, depending on setup. However, there are also separate reports for Best 3 A Levels, Eng/Mat Progress, and Value Added if you want to analyse these further by student.
Once you click on the Headlines report, by default this would open the Cohort Summary report. You will then be presented with a number of tables presenting your key school performance measures for the cohort, based on the grades in that specific report. These are split into Performance Categories: Overall, A Level, Academic, and Applied General. Other Headlines will also be shown here under separate Headings.
Overview of figures
Here you can check your Cohort figure. This is the number of students On Roll to be included in headline calculations.
The first two headline sections relate to L3 Overall and A Level cohorts. The L3 Overall category, while not officially reported on, allows you to view figures such as Average Points per Entry and Pupil, Average Grade, Total Entries and Value Added based on all eligible qualifications. The A Level category would show these figures based on A Level qualifications only.
The next table displays Best 3 A Levels measure, including students included in the measure, Total Points, Average Points, and Average Grade.
The AAB section will show the students included in this measure as well as the amount and percentage of students with 2 and 3 facilitating qualifications.
The facilitating qualifications are: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Geography, History, English Literature, and Classical/Modern Languages.
Next you can see the next three categories, Academic, Applied General and Tech Level. Similarly to the categories mentioned earlier, here you can analyse data such as Average Points per Entry and Pupil, Average Grade, and Value Added for each category.
(Note - The Academic category includes A Levels as well as other Academic qualifications such as Extended Project qualifications).
If your school takes any L2 Technical Certificate qualifications, the next section is Tech Cert which allows you to view Average Points per Entry, Average Grade, Total Entries and Average Points per Pupil for students who have taken these qualifications.
Finally, the English Progress and Maths Progress sections will show the students included in the Level 2 Progress measures and the scores.
