KS5 FAQ - Can you exclude qualifications from Residual calculations?

Yes! The Residual Exclusions icon is available in the Residuals column header in the KS5 Reports and allows you to exclude specific qualifications from the average points used in those calculations. For example, this can be used to exclude vocational qualifications to analyse the impact they have on each Residual.

Excluding Qualifications from Residuals

To exclude qualifications from the Residuals, click the Residual Exclusions icon () in the Residuals column header.

Place a tick in the Include or Exclude column for the relevant qualification/s and click ‘Apply’.

The 'Residuals' column and figures will then be automatically updated, excluding the selected qualifications from the average points used in those calculations.
