Each of the 'standalone' datasets, i.e. Targets, Mocks, Data Set 3, 4 & 5 (each renamable in CONFIG.) and TAGs/CAGs are designed to hold ONE set of grades each, and as such will each produce one report.
If there are two or more sets of grades uploaded to the same dataset, for example, Autumn Mocks and Spring Mocks both uploaded to the same 'Mocks' dataset, then Analytics will apply first entry discounting between the two sets of grades so that only those with the earliest date will appear in the 'Mocks' report.
Therefore, you would need to delete the previous file uploaded in order for just the latest grades to pull through. If you want to keep the previous set of grades, you would need to upload them to another spare dataset if you have one available. It is not possible to create any further datasets.
Note: The Exams dataset should only be used for the cohort's final, banked exam grades, and not for any other type of grade, e.g. internal exams. |
Assessment Collections
As well as the standalone datasets mentioned above, you also have access to the Assessments area (also renamable in CONFIG.).
The Assessments area differs from the standalone datasets in that here you would create separate Assessment Collections for each set of grades to be uploaded. This is ideal for grades which are collected at regular points throughout the year, such as current working at grades or predicted grades. In our example above, we have Assessment Collections for current attainment grades at each term.
You are able to publish two Assessment Collections for each term, for a total of six for each year of the cohort (30 overall for KS3/4 and 12 overall for KS5). It is therefore recommended that such regularly collected grades are uploaded into Assessment Collections rather than the standalone datasets.
Like standalone datasets, each individual Assessment Collection is designed to hold one full set of grades each. |
If you have ran out of standalone datasets and are not able to replace any previously uploaded files to them, then you could upload any further grades as a new Assessment Collection, if for example you have only created one for each term so far. Because you are able to publish two for each term, this will allow them each to be published as separate reports, and will each be available for comparison to one another.
In this example above, we have created a second Assessment Collection related to Year 7 Term 3 in order to upload an additional set of predictions. Once the grade file is uploaded, this can then be published in one of the two publishing slots for that particular term:
