To publish your reports with Data Collaboration report features and have your data included in the collaboration, you would need to complete the set-up steps outlined below.
If your school does not report to the DfE, you may still be able to benefit from the Data Collaboration analysis analysis in the reports! For more information, see our article - FAQ - Our school doesn't report to the DfE, can we still use the Sisra Data Collaboration? (Admin). |
Step 1 / Opt In
Go to CONFIG. > Data Collaboration > then click on the Data Set Name for the relevant cohort.
Read through the information, which includes what data will be collected, then tick the box at the bottom of the page and click ‘Submit’. We recommend opting in for two most recent cohorts at least.
Step 2 / Key Filter Mapping
Go to DATA > select KS3/4 and cohort > STUDENTS > Key Filter Mapping.
Select Disadvantaged, Gender, or SEN to begin mapping your filter to ours, allowing like-for-like comparisons with Sisra Collaborative Headlines.
Please note: The DfE define Disadvantaged as students classed as FSM Ever6, Looked After or left care through adoption or another court order. This can differ from Pupil Premium (which includes Armed Forces students), so you may need to create a new filter for Disadvantaged.
A more in depth article on Key Filter Mapping can be found here - Completing Key Filter Mapping (Admin)
Step 3 / KS2 Core Subject Set Up
Please note: The 24/25 (Current Yr 10) and 25/26 (Current Yr 9) cohorts did not receive any official KS2 data due to the Exams Cancellations when they were in Year 6. As a result, for these cohorts, this step isn't required to be completed if you have chosen to not set up any KS2 baselines in their place.
It is still possible to publish reports with Data Collaboration enabled (for Collaborative Headlines only) if all other steps here have been completed.
If you would prefer to set up baselines to use in the place of their KS2 Scaled Scores, please have a look through our FAQ: How can I set up cohorts with no KS2 data? guide for information as to how other schools have handled this.
Go to DATA > select KS3/4 and cohort > KS2/EAP > Baselines. This step only applies to schools that report to the DfE:
- Ensure the official KS2 subjects for that cohort are correctly nominated in the ‘Core’ column. For cohorts 20/21 and later, nominate English Reading and Maths Scaled Scores.
- Click Publish KS2/EAP > ‘Publish’. The Health tab will highlight setup issues identified in the KS2 / Baselines section in amber and should be resolved before publishing.
More in-depth articles on setting up KS2 Core Baselines can be found here - KS2 Core Baselines.
Step 4 / Matching
Go to DATA > select KS3/4 and cohort > GRADES > Matching.
Here you should ensure that all your current qualifications which are marked to include are matched to their official QN codes, with no issues flagged in the DC Exams Check column. In which case, the following banner appears at the top of the page:
If you have not matched your qualifications to QN codes, you can click 'Edit' and set the Use QN column to Yes, then enter the official QN code or title into the following box.
Any issues found will be highlighted in the DC Exams Check column and must be checked to ensure all officially awarded grades are allocated the correct performance points. A more in-depth article on this can be found here - KS3/4 - Completing the Matching page (Admin).
Step 5 / Year 11 - Exams (when received)
Go to DATA > select KS3/4 and cohort > GRADES > Uploads > Exams.
Once you have your final Exam grades, upload these into the Exams data set by clicking ‘Upload Grade File’, in preparation for the Collaboration.
Check GRADES > Grades Management > Exams for any warning icons which need resolving.
Step 6 / Publish Your Reports
Republish the STUDENTS, KS2/EAP and GRADES areas.
When publishing grades, enable the Data Collaboration toggle and select the appropriate event to include collaboration report features.
