In Analytics, you are able to create faculties, which can be used to group qualifications in the reports in order to analyse these individually or combined.
For example, a ‘Science’ faculty could be used to group various Science qualifications together, such as Combined Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, etc. This would then allow your Head of Science to filter by the ‘Science’ faculty in the reports, allowing them to analyse their qualifications separately or as a whole.
Creating a Faculty
To create a faculty, click CONFIG. > Faculty > ‘Create Faculty’.
Then, enter a faculty name to pull through to the reports and click ‘Create’. This faculty will then be available to select in all key stages within your school’s Analytics subscription and you can repeat this process for all faculties at your school.
Setting a Qualification to a Faculty
The next step is to then set the relevant qualifications to the relevant faculties, which is done on a cohort by cohort basis, on the Matching page.
To do this, click DATA > select key stage and cohort > GRADES > Matching then click Edit.
You can then work through and set the Faculty column for respective qualifications.
Once you have set all relevant qualifications to the appropriate faculty, click ‘Save Changes’. You can set multiple qualifications to the same faculty. Then, click GRADES > Publish Grades and publish each report that needs updated. These will then pull through to the reports.
