The DfE do not provide guidance or Attainment 8 estimates in order for Progress 8 to be calculated for individual qualifications, just for individual baskets such as English, Maths, EBacc, and Open, or for overall Progress 8.
However, to accommodate for this we introduced a Sisra-exclusive measure ‘Subject Progress Index (SPI)’ which compares how a student has performed in a subject, compared with all students with the same KS2 Prior in the Sisra Data Collaboration event published by your Sisra administrator.
The cohorts where this is available are 17/18 leavers through to current year 10 (also enabled for current year 9 in the Summer term, following the release of the DfE's Performance Points for that cohort).
This can be useful to compare performance of students, qualifications, classes, faculties, filters, and more! Think subject Progress 8, but better!
For information on how your Sisra Administrator can set this up, they can follow our guide here - How do we set up the Sisra Data Collaboration? (Admin)
For more information on viewing SPI in the reports once published, see our article here - KS3/4 FAQ - Where can I find Subject Progress Index (SPI) figures and scattergraphs? |
