This article aims to explain each report within the Basics Area in the KS3/4 reports, the figures included, and how these are calculated.
The Basics area allows you to view overall and individual student contribution towards the 9-5 and 9-4 Basics measure. This is calculated using grades that count towards School performance and requires students have grades 9-5 or 9-4 in English and Maths.
Unlike the EBacc, since 2016, a student can achieve a grade 4/C or above in either English Language or Literature to be included, and so do not require an entry in both. |
